What is the difference between PAD and EFT?
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is a payment method that allows funds to be moved to or from a bank account. In SEDAR+ a Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) account is an account which is used for conducting EFT transactions. Each PAD account is assigned a unique reference number in SEDAR+ and has associated details such as financial institution, branch transit number, bank account number and currency information.
