SEDAR+ Electronic Filer Agreement (EFA) and Filing Agent Authorization Forms (FAAF)
In order for electronic filers, who may include filers and filing agents, to use SEDAR+ for the purpose of transmitting documents and making payments through SEDAR+, electronic filers must:
- Enter into an Electronic Filer Agreement and submit a Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Form;
Electronic Filer Agreement (EFA)
The EFA must be completed and submitted by every individual or organization that files information in SEDAR+, including issuers using filing agent(s). An EFA is required to set up issuer profiles and to submit issuer filings.Investment Fund Managers need to complete only one EFA to cover all funds, not one EFA for each fund.

- In the case of filers only, retain a filing agent that is authorized to use SEDAR+ to prepare and submit an Electronic Filer Agreement in the name and on behalf of the filer. If choosing this option, the filer must complete a Filing Agent Authorization Form authorizing the filing agent to complete and submit an Electronic Filer Agreement on behalf of the filer. This form may also be used to authorize the filing agent to make electronic filings through SEDAR+ on behalf of the filer.
Filing Agent Authorization Form (FAAF)
The FAAF is a new requirement, which must be completed by issuers who use a filing agent, or multiple filing agents. This agreement grants the filing agent(s) permission to submit specific types of filings in SEDAR+ on the issuer’s behalf.
All filers must enter an Electronic Filer Agreement using one of the two methods outlined above. Filing agents must directly enter into an Electronic Filer Agreement and submit a Pre-Authorized Debit Form. Filing agents include law firms, financial printers, trust companies acting as transfer agents and registrars, news release disseminators and other service providers.
A filer may engage one or more filing agents to make filings on its behalf using a Filing Agent Authorization Form. A filer may subsequently modify or revoke the authorization previously granted to a filing agent by submitting a Filing Agent Authorization Form: Modification or Revocation of Authorization.
