Search the Disciplined List or Cease Trade Orders
All SEDAR+ visitors, including the public and registered users, can search and view the public ‘Disciplined List’ and ‘Cease Trade Orders’ (CTOs) regulatory actions. From the SEDAR+ home page, select either ‘Disciplined List’ or ‘Cease Trade Orders’ to perform the desired search.
You can also access these searches by selecting the ‘Search’ drop-down in the header navigation, then select the ‘Disciplined list’ or ‘Cease trade orders’ search type.
Search results are sorted first by ‘Issued date’, with the most recent results on top, and second by ‘Name’ in ascending order (from A to Z). You can reverse either sorting order.
Disciplined list
The Disciplined list search results display a separate entry for each individual or organization subject to a disciplinary action. If the same individual or organization is subject to multiple disciplinary actions, the results display a separate line for each instance.
The default search criteria include temporary orders in the ‘Disciplined list’ search results. If you want to exclude temporary orders, then unselect the ‘Include temporary orders’ checkbox.
Cease Trade Orders (CTOs)
The default search criteria are set to search active cease trade orders. If you would like to include inactive CTOs, you must select both ‘Active’ and ‘Inactive’ under ‘Ban trading status’ in advanced search.
The CTO search results display the type of trading ban for each individual or organization subject to the regulatory action, each listed as a separate entry in the search results. For example, if a single regulatory action contains two organizations that each have a trading ban (i.e. ban trading OF and a ban trading BY), four individual entries are displayed in the search results.
In the advanced search for cease trade orders, you can also search within the content of a cease trade order that has been uploaded to SEDAR+. By entering a word in the ‘Search in cease trade order text’ field, the system will return results on all cease trade orders containing that word. Refer to Document content search for more information.
Cease trade orders uploaded in a non-searchable format will not generate a result in the content search.
